Hazelnut Heaven Affogato: Coffee Meets Boozy Delight

This recipe elevates the classic affogato with a delightful twist – hazelnut liqueur!  The rich, nutty notes perfectly complement the coffee and create a truly decadent dessert.

Ingredients:

1 scoop high-quality vanilla gelato

1 shot (1 oz) freshly brewed hot espresso 

½ ounce hazelnut liqueur (Frangelico, Disaronno, or similar)

Chopped hazelnuts, for garnish 

(Optional) Whipped cream, for garnish

Instructions:

Place a single scoop of vanilla gelato in a clear dessert glass or bowl.

Using your preferred method, brew a fresh shot of hot espresso.

Pour the ½ ounce of hazelnut liqueur into the hot espresso shot. 

Slowly pour the hot espresso and hazelnut liqueur mixture over the gelato, allowing it to melt slightly around the edges.
